Hi, I’m Lindsay Forsythe. I started Creative Nature Collective to collaborate with others in cultivating trust, awe and curiosity in Nature - both Nature in the world surrounding us, and the creative Nature in ourselves.

I offer customized 1:1 Nature-Connected life coaching sessions, Nature-connected practice groups, meditative movement and drawing groups, and small group private instruction in Contact Improvisation. Each offering has its own nuanced mission…

In my coaching practice, I help committed people to discover the support, wisdom, and guidance within nature and reflectively in themselves, so that they can make the changes in their lives they desire, which will support them to lead fulfilled, authentic, happy lives.

In creative labs I guide curious people to explore and trust their creative natures so that they feel confidence, joy, and relaxation within themselves and also within a supportive collaborative community.

In nature-connected practice groups I guide small groups to connect within nature, so that they can develop more awareness of the wise, healing, awe-inspiring qualities and gifts that the Earth shares with us.

In Contemplative Dance Practice, I facilitate small groups through a meditation practice created by Barbara Dilley to access present moment awareness, spontaneous movement, and a nourishing mind-body experience individually and with others.

In Contact Improvisation lessons, I teach small groups CI skills, concepts, history, and deep listening so that they can learn a new form or to work on skills they already know in a focussed deeper way with guidance.

Overall, I strive for the experience of balance, clarity, kindness, curiosity and self-understanding. I have experienced Nature as a deeply supportive guide, teeming with wisdom. I have also found guidance in nature with an experienced coach to be deeply rewarding and effective. Additionally, I have discovered that my unique, inner creative Nature can be an incredibly curious and adventurous landscape to explore, leading to more self-confidence and joy. I believe the combination of these approaches creates a balanced and rewarding experience. I hope Creative Nature Collective provides a supportive environment for this unfolding.

Some of my education in these fields and which I feel are integral to my approach include: Certification in Nature-Connected life coaching (from the Earth-Based Institute), a Masters in Social Work (New York University), and a background in dance and other movement modalities including contact improvisation, contemplative dance practice (CDP), and Authentic Movement. Additionally, I am a certified Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance instructor, and have completed Authentic Relating Training levels 1, 2, and 3 through ART International. I have also completed multiple workshops in Contact Improvisation and Improvisation dance, some of my favorite teachers being Nancy Stark Smith, Nita Little and Nora Hajos.
