Hi, I’m Lindsay Forsythe. I founded Creative Nature Collective to collaborate with others in cultivating trust, awe and curiosity in Nature - both the living world surrounding us, and the creative nature alive within us.

I facilitate Nature-connected practice groups, Contemplative Dance Practice (CDP), and Contact/Movement Improvisation dance classes.

In Nature-connected practice groups I guide participants to deepen their awareness of the wise, healing, and awe-inspiring qualities and lessons the Earth shares with us.

In Contemplative Dance Practice, I facilitate small groups through a meditation-based movement practice developed by Barbara Dilley-cultivating present-moment awareness, spontaneous movement, and a nourishing mind-body experience, both individually and in community.

In Contact Improvisation classes, I teach the skills, history, and concepts of this unique movement form - guiding people into deep listening, authentic expression, and the art of improvisation. Whether you’re encountering CI for the first time or deepening an existing practice, classes are tailored to meet you where you are.

At the heart of this work is a commitment to balance, clarity, kindness, curiosity and self-understanding. I have experienced Nature as a deeply supportive guide-teeming with wisdom, always available. And I’ve discovered that my own creative nature is an equally rich landscape to explore, one that leads toward greater confidence and joy. Creative Nature Collective exists to offer that same unfolding to others.

My approach is grounded in a variety of training across movement, relationship, and the human psyche. I hold a Master of Social Work from New York University and a certification in Nature-Connected life coaching from the Earth-Based Institute. My movement background spans Modern Dance, Contact Improvisation, Contemplative Dance Practice (CDP), Authentic Movement - deepened through trainings with multiple teachers including Nancy Stark Smith, Nita Little and Nora Hajos. I am also a certified Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance instructor, and have completed Authentic Relating Training levels 1-3 through ART International.
